Job Description

 

The exciting new SIGA role is offering the opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to work on high-level global research projects with immediate start. The candidate will also be expected to provide vital research assistance to the SIGA Executive Committee as and when required. Due to the current pandemic, this role is virtual and can be carried out remotely. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a dynamic environment and play a leading role in global, high profile research projects, events and other cutting edge outputs that will have significant impact upon the global sports industry.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Compiling documentation and background information to assist the SIGA Executive Committee (ExCo);
  • Performing Independent Research, thorough interviews, online, or whatever may be appropriate to assist the SIGA ExCo;
  • Preparation of Literature Reviews;
  • Gathering and Analysis of data and information;
  • Proof Reading;
  • Creating PowerPoint presentations, summaries and reports to a high standard;
  • Liaising with the SIGA Team to ensure coordination and support as appropriate;
  • Assisting with Editing and Preparation of Outputs;
  • Assisting in Administrative Duties as appropriate including transcription;
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the SIGA ExCo;

The Successful candidate:

  • An independent self-starter, with excellent organisational skills, must be extremely detail-oriented;
  • Outstanding verbal and written English communications skills, knowledge of other European languages would be an asset;
  • Educated to a Masters degree level or equivalent;
  • Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
  • Knowledge of the global sports movement would be an asset;
  • Flexible, positive and energetic attitude;
  • Problem-solver: resourceful, result-oriented, and proactive;
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to multi-task when under pressure;
  • Being a positive, constructive, trustworthy, supportive and flexible member of the SIGA Team and acting with discretion.

Salary:

  • Dependent upon experience – circa €18-24,000 p/a;
  • Contract Basis

Location: Europe Virtual Position

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00, with some flexibility.

Candidates must be legally authorised to work in Europe as SIGA will not be providing sponsorship for this position.

Job Description

 SIGA is recruiting a full-time Executive Assistant to the Executive Committee with immediate start.

The Executive Assistant will provide full administrative and executive assistance to the SIGA Executive Committee as and when required. Due to the current pandemic, this role is virtual and can be carried out from home. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a dynamic environment and play a leading role in the administration of a global organisation.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Global CEO and additional members of the Executive Committee in supporting the development of overall strategy to meet SIGA’s objectives;
  • Developing information, drafting reports and correspondence and compiling documentation to assist the Executive Committee with preparations for their meetings and development of specific projects;
  • Organising and diarising internal and external meetings, zoom calls and preparing the related documents;
  • Undertaking research assignments when required;
  • Taking detailed minutes of meetings;
  • Creating PowerPoint presentations, drafting letters and reports to a high-standard, as requested by the SIGA Executive Committee;
  • Liaising with the SIGA Team to ensure coordination and support as appropriate;
  • Assisting with the organisation of high-profile events hosted by SIGA;
  • Managing and updating the SIGA website on a regular basis;
  • Posting and expanding SIGA’s social media under the supervision of the SIGA Executive Committee;
  • Assisting in the creation of content, including press releases, op-eds, editorials, brochures, annual reports, newsletters, website content, promotional posters, event guides and other relevant materials.
  • Prioritising conflicting needs and handling matters expeditiously and proactively;
  • Following-up on projects to successful completion, observing required deadlines;
  • Diarising meetings and other relevant events;
  • Performing all other tasks and assignments entrusted to them by the SIGA Executive Committee.

 

Requirements for a Successful Candidate

  • Impeccable reputation and ethical conduct;
  • A minimum 5-year experience supporting senior level executives;
  • An independent self-starter, with excellent organisational skills, must be extremely detail-oriented;
  • Outstanding verbal and written English communications skills, knowledge of other European languages would be an asset;
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent;
  • Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPress, Twitter, Instagram and Outlook;
  • Knowledge of the sports movement would be an asset;
  • Flexible, positive and energetic attitude;
  • Problem-solver, resourceful, result-oriented, and proactive;
  • Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural environment;
  • Availability to travel;
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to multi-task when under pressure;
  • Being a positive, constructive, trustworthy, supportive and flexible team member and acting with discretion.

 

Location: Europe Virtual Position

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00, with some flexibility and travel required. Out of hours, work also arises on a periodical basis, particularly during the time of organising international events.

Candidates must be legally authorised to work in Europe as SIGA will not be providing sponsorship for this position.

Salary: starting from 20,000 Euros per annum dependent on experience.
