Job Purpose

SIGA is looking to grow and expand our SIGAWomen Programme. The ideal candidate for this leadership position will be a commercially and operationally orientated team player with a deep understanding of the Global Sport Stakeholder landscape, with a particular knowledge of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

The Managing Director of SIGA Women is responsible for growing all aspects of this SIGA Brand, defining, coordinating and implementing growth strategies to meet and surpass targets in line with the larger ambitious SIGA growth strategy and in alignment with the SIGA global reform agenda.

The role will entail managing all aspects of the SIGAWomen Programme and related activities. Activities include the design, organisation and execution of events, projects and other initiatives, on a global basis, developing and implementing impact and growth strategies as part of the SIGA Executive Committee, in close collaboration with the wider SIGA team.

Specific Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage the #SIGAWomen Programme.
  • Identify, Cultivate and Secure Sponsorship and Partnership Opportunities for SIGAWomen Initiatives.
  • Develop the SIGA Women Global Mentorship Programme.
  • Organize and oversee specific SIGAWomen thought leadership events, such as the Summit on Female Leadership in Sport, and directly contribute to wider SIGA thought leadership events.
  • Propose, design and develop the creation of new thought leadership events aimed at promoting Good Governance and Gender Equity in the field of Sport.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Activation for SIGA Reform Agenda.
  • Ensure alignment of the SIGAWomen Programme with SIGA’s overall Mission and Goals.
  • Manage budgets and resources for the SIGAWomen Programme effectively.
  • Expand the SIGAWomen Global Network.
  • To administer the SIGA Permanent Committee on Gender, Race, Inclusion and Diversity in coordination with the respective co-chairs.

Specific Role Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience, preferably within the Sport Industry.
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis as opportunities demand.
  • Demonstrable Marketing and Commercial experience.
  • Established Network and Stakeholder Understanding.
  • Strong understanding of gender equity and female leadership landscape.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work remotely, both independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience in organizing and managing events.
