The Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) has just announced the Portuguese National Association of Football Executives (ANDIF) as its newest member. At a landmark event in Lisbon, leaders from both organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant partnership aimed at enhancing Integrity, transparency and independent scrutiny and supervision within the Portuguese football industry.

With over 200 members and committed supporters globally, SIGA continues to expand its membership base and sound influence as the world’s largest independent, neutral and multi-stakeholder coalition dedicated to Sport Integrity.

By aligning with SIGA, ANDIF pledges to uphold SIGA’s Universal Standards on Sport Integrity and support SIGA’s mission to advance Good Governance, Financial Integrity, Sports Betting Integrity and Youth Development and Protection in Sport.

ANDIF’s extensive network, featuring influential figures, such as Pedro Proença (President, Liga Portugal), Rui Costa (President, SL Benfica), Ph.D. Manuel Sérgio (honorary member), Nuno Lobo (President, Lisbon Football Association), and Prof. José Neto, amongst many others, will be instrumental in promoting SIGA’s vision and mission. The collaboration is set to drive an array of innovative initiatives, including joint projects, information exchange, and extensive training and capacity-building programmes, ensuring that Portuguese football executives adhere to cutting-edge practices.

Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros, Global CEO of SIGA, celebrated the partnership, highlighting its potential for profound impact:
