world as part of #SIGASTRIVES – a global campaign designed to overcome adversity, generate social engagement and ensure progress in the field of sports integrity during the unprecedented Coronavirus pandemic.
Innovation and collective action are key components of the #SIGASTRIVES campaign as during this challenging time, where social distancing is a precautionary requisite in most countries, the vast majority of industries and households are forced to rethink their traditional means of social interaction.
SIGA is inviting prospective technology partners to join the global integrity movement and contribute with technology services to drive new ways of bilateral and multilateral communication with SIGA members, supporters, partners, as well as the wider sporting industry and public in general. SIGA is also looking for technology partners that can assist in delivering virtual training, education and capacity building programmes to support sports organisations’ implementation of integrity standards remotely.
This is the fourth in a set of thirty boosting measures and initiatives announced by SIGA as part of the Alliance’s new global campaign #SIGASTRIVES.
Katie Simmonds, General Counsel & Senior Director, Global Partnerships of SIGA and Senior Vice President of SIGA AMERICA, stated:
“We are all facing a new reality that is drastically changing the way we interact, both professionally and socially. One month ago, the concept of “social distancing” and “lockdown” were foreign words from a sci-fi movie. Today’s call, for prospective technology partners to join our efforts and facilitate digital communication with our members and the wider sporting industry, is a proactive step during a period when many feel helpless, harnessing the power of innovative technology to transform positively the way we communicate.”
Given SIGA’s non-for-profit nature, partners are kindly requested to provide in-kind services in return for multiple benefits.
The deadline for prospective technology partners to provide their submissions is 15 April 2020.
