The Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) has just announced the appointment of 30 renowned experts to the newly created Permanent Committees of SIGA LATIN AMERICA.
The committees, which will soon be strengthened with the addition of new members, already include a selection of recognized senior executives and experts from various sectors, ensuring robust intellectual leadership and diversity.
The Terms of Reference for the SIGA and SIGA LATIN AMERICA Permanent Committees stipulate that membership roles are carried out in a personal capacity. However, it is worth noting that among the appointed members are executives from organizations such as Atlético-MG, CBF, the Brazilian Olympic Committee, the São Paulo Football Federation, Yduqs Institute, Ministry of Sport, Ministry of Finance, UN Women Brazil, Oracle, Racing Club, and São Paulo Football Club, among many others.
As integral components of SIGA’s organizational structure, the Permanent Committees play a crucial role in shaping SIGA’s policies and in fostering the best practices, policies, and integrity reforms that are so needed. By focusing on their respective strategic areas, they promote knowledge exchange and information sharing, while offering expert advice, proposals, and recommendations to the SIGA Council, SIGA LATIN AMERICA, and the Global CEO.
The announcement was made during the Inaugural Conference and Public Hearing of the Independent Study on the Future of Brazilian Football. In their roles, the newly appointed members will be involved with SIGA LATIN AMERICA in its commitment to conducting the Independent Study, which was commissioned by the Parliamentary Front for the Modernization of Football. As an advisory body supporting the SIGA LATIN AMERICA Executive Team, the Committees will have a crucial part in the discussions to be held.
