The global expansion of the #SIGAWomen programme continues full steam ahead as the world’s largest independent coalition for Sport Integrity announce they will host the inaugural #SIGAWomen Leadership Forum on Wednesday, 11 September 2024.
Building upon three hugely successful SIGA Summits on Female Leadership in Sport hosted by SIGA founding member Mastercard, in New York, this brand-new landmark annual event will further extend the #SIGAWomen Agenda – which has been designed to foster cultural change, enhanced governance and gender equity in the boardrooms of all Sport Organisations.
Since its pioneering Special Session on “Good Governance in Sport: Piercing the Gender Glass Ceiling” (Paris, 7 March 2018), SIGA has been mobilizing efforts to place gender equity, diversity and inclusion at the top of the global agenda. With this purpose in mind, the #SIGAWomen Leadership Forum will bring together leading voices and key stakeholders from across the Sport Industry, who will address the most critical challenges, barriers and opportunities for the positive evolution of Sport. It will recognise leading figures that have helped shape the landscape and driven change. This event expands the #SIGAWomen Event Opportunities to ensure they are more accessible, inclusive and diverse to further drive the cultural change needed to progress the Global Sport Industry towards the vision for Sport we all wish to see.
The SIGAWomen Leadership Forum will be held at Estádio do Dragão, home stadium of FC Porto, in Porto, Portugal.
It will feature keynote speeches, fireside chats and the presentation of SIGA’s 2024 Survey on Female Representation on the Highest Executive Organs of International Sports Federations, the launch of the #SIGAWomen Manifesto, the SIGA 2024 Special Recognition Award Ceremony, as well as interactive panel sessions focusing on the most pressing topics. As part of SIGAs on-going commitment to delivering Integrity solutions that are inclusive and accessible to all, attendance at this event is free of charge. However, places are limited and registration is compulsory. Additionally, donations are encouraged with all proceeds being directly reinvested into the #SIGAWomen programme.
