EPIC RISK Management joined SIGA as a member in February 2023, with the aim of working together with other organisations to collectively tackle some of the major threats to Sport Integrity within the field of gambling.
In a 3-questions interview, Martin Bland, Director of Business Development, EPIC RISK Management, shared their views on the partnership.
“When we think about the impact that gambling has on sports betting integrity, we know that individuals who are developing traits of out of control gambling or are being affected by harmful gambling, they are much more likely to be involved in sport integrity breaches. Therefore EPIC exists to mitigate those risks, by delivering educational programmes that raise awareness, that educate people within the sports industry and enable them with the soft skills to not only identify harmful gambling either within themselves, but also with people around them.”
“It’s critical that education is made available to sports organisations all around the world, and that is why we are partnering with SIGA. We want to collaborate with organisations that are working in hand with sports organisations around the world, and are absolutely committed to protecting their sport, to protecting their athletes, to protecting their fans, but also to protecting the integrity of that sport. EPIC will be working very closely with SIGA”.
