The Qatar Stars League (QSL), a Member of the Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA), has marked Sport Integrity Action Month 2026 by hosting its annual Club Licensing Workshop, bringing together representatives from clubs competing in the Doha Bank Stars League and Jetour League, alongside observers from QSL3. The event highlighted the partnership between QSL and SIGA, and showcased the key priorities of Sport Integrity Action Month, including Good Governance, Financial Integrity, Youth Development and Protection. Media Responsibility and Digital Integrity in Sport were also a relevant part of the conversation led by David McVeigh, QSL Director of Corporate Planning.
The workshop also addressed the latest updates to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Club Licensing system, including revised standards, financial requirements, and compliance procedures for the 2026–2027 season. By integrating Sport Integrity into its annual club licensing programme, QSL reinforced its commitment to strengthening governance, transparency, accountability, and professionalism across Qatari football, contributing to the global momentum of SIGA’s Sport Integrity Action Month.
