Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros, SIGA’s Global CEO and SIGA EUROPE’s Executive Chairman, is participating in tomorrow’s European Commission’s ‘Stakeholders’ Hearing on Combating Online Piracy of Live Content’.

This crucial meeting will bring together 50+ key stakeholders, among which are SIGA and its European subsidiary, SIGA EUROPE, to share their experience and views on how to efficiently tackle unauthorised retransmissions of live events, in particular sports events.

Held in Brussels, the day-long meeting will be divided into three topics, prior to the concluding remarks by the Commission:

  • Prompt removal of unauthorised retransmissions of live events;
  • Dynamic injunctions tailored to live content;
  • Enhancing the cooperation among the relevant national authorities and monitoring the application of the recommendation.
