Exceptional young leaders from five continents recognised and entrusted to advance SIGA’s global mission for Sport Integrity
Marking International Youth Day, the Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) today announces the appointment of its Founding SIGA Youth Ambassadors — an exceptional and diverse group of young leaders recognised for their service, leadership and sustained commitment to Sport Integrity.
Drawn from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America, the ten Founding Youth Ambassadors have demonstrated, over several years, their dedication to SIGA’s mission and their ability to inspire others across the SIGA Youth community. Their appointment is both a recognition of what they have already contributed and a powerful expression of SIGA’s confidence in their potential to continue moving the needle for integrity, good governance and positive reform in Sport.
The new network builds on the legacy of the SIGA Youth Council, established in 2020 to give young people a meaningful voice in SIGA’s global reform agenda and at the highest levels of its governance. Since its creation, successive cohorts of young leaders from across the world have contributed to SIGA’s research, policy, advocacy, events and wider mission for Sport Integrity.
As trusted advocates and regional voices, the Founding SIGA Youth Ambassadors will promote SIGA’s values, encourage emerging young talent, contribute to selected initiatives and campaigns, offer regional perspectives and strategic advice, and help mentor the next generation of participants in SIGA’s youth programmes.
