On International Women’s Day, the Sport Integrity Global Alliance shares an op-ed by Katie Simmonds, SIGA’s Chief Commercial Officer, and Chair of the SIGAWomen Council, reflecting on how meaningful change in sport requires a culture of giving, collaboration and shared responsibility.

In her article “Give to Gain – From Campaign to Creating Change”, she highlights how progress towards gender equity in sport depends on leaders who invest their time, experience and networks in supporting the next generation. Mentorship, knowledge-sharing and solidarity across the global sports community are essential to accelerate change and open new pathways for women in leadership.

Through the #SIGAWomen Programme, SIGA continues to translate this vision into concrete action – from the Global Mentorship Programme to thought leadership initiatives. The article also invites everyone to support the “Leave Your Legacy” campaign, which creates scholarship opportunities and expands access for aspiring female leaders in sport.

This International Women’s Day, SIGA reaffirms its commitment to advancing gender equity, strengthening leadership pathways and building a more inclusive and responsible global sport ecosystem.

Special thanks to SIGA Media Partners Diario AS, and Inside World Football, and Brazilian media Lei em Campo for publishing the article.
