SIGA LATIN AMERICA and São Paulo FC organise the “Integrity Match” at Morumbi Stadium on the evening of 4 September.

 

The “Integrity Match” is a pioneering initiative that SIGA LATIN AMERICA, a subsidiary of the Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA), the world’s leading independent coalition on Sport Integrity, and São Paulo Football Club are organising in support of Sport’s  sports values and as part of a wider global campaign aimed at promote Sport Integrity. The highly anticipated event will take place at Morumbi Stadium in São Paulo, Brazil, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 on Monday, 4 September 2023.

This authentic “All-Star Game” will bring together celebrities from the world of football and other sports, as well as personalities from various sectors of the sports industry, including sponsors, media outlets, and state, federal, and international sporting and governmental authorities.

Palhinha, Zetti, Silas, Cicinho, Grafite, and Ronaldão are among the idols lined up for this major event.  From women’s football, Alline Calandrini, former Brazilian national team player, and Camila Estefano, CEO of the social project “Em Busca de uma Estrela,” dedicated to training new athletes for the sport, are also confirmed. Former professional basketball player and one of the current SIGA Champions, Kelly Santos, will also be playing. Other notable participants include the Minister of Sport, Ana Moser, and the National Director of Football and Promotion of Women’s Football, Sandra Santos. Leading the way for Brazilian sponsors, Pacto pelo Esporte will be represented by senior figures such as President Paulo Kakinoff, former CEO of Gol airline company, Hugo Passarelli, President of Passarelli Constructions, and Renata Maluf, Marketing Director of Gol, among others.

In a symbolic gesture to emphasize individual and collective responsibility for integrity and fair play on and off the field, the match will be played without referees.

Highlighting the significance of the “Integrity Match”, Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros, Global CEO of SIGA and Chairman & CEO of SIGA LATIN AMERICA, stated:

The “Integrity Match” is part of Sport Integrity Week 2023, an annual global initiative organised by SIGA since 2020 to promote integrity across all sports. This year’s edition will take place between 2 and 9 of September in various countries around the world.

As part of the Sport Integrity Week‘s Master Programme, the Integrity Match will be preceded by the Sport Integrity Forum Latin America. Taking place for the first time ever in Latin America, this high-profile thought leadership Forum will bring together over 250 renowned executives and top experts from the world of sport, government, global business and civil society.
