SIGA LATIN AMERICA, through FAIR – Forum on Betting, Integrity and Regulation – announces the Declaration for Integrity  in Sports Betting  – a public commitment made by licensed sports betting operators that are members of the organization, upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, governance, and social responsibility.

The Declaration reaffirms the operators’ adherence to the global movement led by SIGA and their cooperation with authorities and sports entities to strengthen an ethical, reliable, and sustainable betting ecosystem. Its drafting and development fall under the Forum’s initiatives within the framework of the Sport Integrity Action Month.

The document outlines a shared agenda of actions and principles aimed at preventing match-fixing, combating illegal betting and money laundering, and promoting best practices in governance and responsible advertising. The operators commit, among other points, to:

  • Adopt and implement SIGA’s Universal Standards on Sport Integrity;
  • Collaborate with public authorities, regulators, and sports entities in monitoring and preventing irregularities;
  • Maintain effective internal integrity and compliance structures;
  • Ensure transparency in the allocation of sponsorships and social investments;
  • Promote responsible gambling and the protection of children and adolescents.

The Declaration also invites other operators, authorities, and sports organizations to join the movement led by SIGA LATIN AMERICA in support of a sports betting ecosystem committed to the integrity-driven development of sport and the economy.

The Declaration was reviewed during the fifth FAIR meeting. The gathering took place at the headquarters of the H2 Group and brought together government representatives and SIGA LATIN AMERICA members, solidifying FAIR as a strategic platform for dialogue and alignment between the public and private sectors for the implementation of robust integrity measures and responsible, sustainable regulation.

The meeting was led by Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros, President & CEO of SIGA LATIN AMERICA, with special contributions from Ueltom Lima Gomes, CEO of the H2 Group, and Giovanni Rocco, National Secretary for Sports Betting and Economic Development in Sport at the Ministry of Sport.

At the end of the meeting, the participants reaffirmed their shared commitment to integrity, transparency, and cooperation as pillars of a sustainable and trustworthy sports betting ecosystem.

André Megale, Director of Good Governance and Integrity at SIGA LATIN AMERICA, highlighted the reformist spirit demonstrated by the operators signing the Declaration:

“This declaration is an important signal that our members, brought together through the initiative of SIGA LATIN AMERICA, are sending to the market,  including athletes, clubs, sports organizations, government, and the general public, that integrity, transparency, and responsible gambling will always be priorities in their operations.”
