Integrity in Sport is at the forefront today as we mark the commencement of Sport Integrity Week 2023. Following two years of digital presence in 2020 and 2021, and the successful hybrid #SIW2022, SIGA proudly presents the fourth iteration of its flagship event in an innovative global format that pulsates with energy across continents. With the curtain rising on this momentous kick-off day, Sport Integrity Week embraces its evolution into #SIW 3.0, promising to surpass expectations and galvanise the global sports movement in a sustainable way.

This year’s edition presents a unique blend of physical gatherings in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, United States, Portugal, England, France, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, India, Malaysia, Australia and many other countries and regions around the world, accompanied by a dynamic digital landscape, all expertly curated by SIGA.

Amidst the anticipation, approximately 80 Hosting Partners have risen to the challenge, organising a vast number of events and initiatives, and embracing active participation. Together, they will catalyse discussions and foster awareness on pressing topics surrounding Integrity in Sport. A common aspiration unites us: to enhance the standards of Sport Integrity worldwide and deliver transparency and accountability to the sports industry.

Spanning nearly 40 cities worldwide, initiatives will unfold both in-person and virtually. Encompassing over 25 countries, SIW2023 invites prominent leaders to engage in thought-provoking, action driven and reform-oriented debates.

Anticipate remarkable collaborations, including partnership agreements with the Brazilian Ministry of Sport, the Parliamentary Front for Football Modernization, the Aspire Academy, and the Portuguese Municipality of Pombal.

A Football Integrity Match, the first of its kind to be held with this specific purpose, will be played by mixed teams, without a referee, at Sao Paulo FC’s Stadium. This awareness raising sporting event will be, preceded by the inaugural Sport Integrity Forum Latin America. Additionally, the debut editions of the Esports Integrity Forum and the Football Integrity Forum will unfold in Europe, extending SIGA’s sphere of influence.

SIGA’s Partners, such as Dow Jones, will stand alongside institutions, like HBKU and Notre Dame University. SIW2023 will welcome representatives from the Brazilian Government and Congress, SIGA Youth Council, Sports Innovation Lab, and renowned clubs, including São Paulo, Racing, Belenenses, Boavista, Atlético Mineiro, among others. High profile sponsors including Mastercard, Gol Airlines and EY together with institutional giants such as the OECD, UN and IACA, high profile sports governing bodies including UEFA, FIFA, LEN, FIDE, UEFA AAA, and World Rugby, football leagues such as Liga Portugal, Swiss League and Qatar Stars League, national Olympic committees including TTOC amongst others, and media giants AlKass, ESPN and Globo will lend their weight to the occasion.
