This two-year deal will see BSI support SIGA during its upcoming flagship thought leadership event taking place from 12 to 16 September 2022.
BSI, the leading certification body in both the United Kingdom and the United States, was appointed by SIGA in 2019 as the independent third party to carry out its innovative and impartial sports governance audit, rating and certification tool. This tool is known as the SIGA Independent Rating and Verification System (SIRVS), with SIGA certifying sports organisations with Bronze, Silver, or Gold, in accordance with its Universal Standards on Sport Integrity.
During SIW2022, BSI will participate in panel discussions on the topic of SIRVS and why it is important, including bespoke sessions on climate change, how to integrate sustainability into the sports industry, and why brands and governments should use SIRVS as a benchmark for their financial investments in the industry.
#SIW2022 will include an in-person element for the first time since it was launched during the covid-19 pandemic with SIGA’s single mission to unite Sport’s leading stakeholders to join its global movement to adopt enhanced governance standards, bringing about greater integrity, transparency, and accountability to the industry.
